Adjustment in photoshop

There are times when you may want to change the brightness of just one layer in your Photoshop image. This can be useful if you want to make a background layer appear darker or lighter relative to the other layers in the image.

Fortunately, Photoshop makes it easy to adjust the brightness of individual layers.

To change the brightness of a layer, first, select the layer that you want to modify in the Layers panel.

Then, go to the Image menu at the top of the screen and choose Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast.

This will open the Brightness/Contrast dialog box.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop’s layers function, do not attempt to change the brightness of just one layer. You may inadvertently change the brightness of the entire image.
